Joined by with guitarist Andreas Haidecker, Costa Rican-born artist Phoebe Violet presents her new programme ‘Suspiros’, which consists of original songs for voice and guitar. The music is rooted in fado as well as 20th century Latin America. Poetic, soulful and romantic as well as refreshingly honest, Violet and Haidecker immerse themselves in their own world of intimacy. Emotions take centre stage, but without drama: melodies are woven from sensitivity and elegance, which Violet spreads out delicately and beautifully, while Haidecker's extraordinary guitar playing embraces her stories sung in Spanish. The two unite in a magical consensus that promises goosebumps and tears.
